JOHNSTON CITY - Patricia Barwick, 76, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at her home.

She was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Metropolis, to Ralph and Virginia Rose (McCandless) Williams.

She married Jack E. Barwick on May 18, 1978, in Metropolis. Jack survives.

She was a retired bookkeeper and accountant having worked with several livestock auction barns. She was a member of Ezra Church of God in West Frankfort for 30 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a meticulous homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Jack E. Barwick; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Vicki Fisher of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandson, Chad and Kim Fisher of Marshall; granddaughter, Christina and James Herald of Knoxville; two special great-grandchildren, Mattie Herald of Knoxville and Avery Fisher of Marshall; step-daughter, Jackie and Terry Moore of Marion; step-sons, John Barwick and family of Energy and Mark Barwick and family of Herrin; brother, Frank Williams and wife, Rachael, of Las Vegas; sister, Bobbie Lowery of Joppa; sister-in-law, Sue Williams of Edwardsville; special aunt, Jane Columbo of Carterville; several nieces and nephews; close friends, Bill and Charlotte Hopper and sons and Tim and Donna Roland and sons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Karen and Sharon Fisher; one sister, Barbara Laird; and one brother, Richie Williams.

Services will be at noon today in Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City, with Tommy Dryden officiating. Burial will be in Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Visitation was from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Ezra Church of God or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
