Casualty of the Great War,Archie served with the 2nd/6th Bn. Essex Regiment Service No: 6952. He was 20 years old and the son of Mrs. Lavinia Plummer, of Knox Lane, Bardwell. His father, Percy was the Rural Postmaster and died on June 125th 1916. Archie was laid to rest with him and Ivy Plummer aged 14 (relationship unknown) was also interred here in 1918.
