Flight Sergeant 432404 Devall, RAAF, was the son of Tom and Lilian Devall, of Balmain, New South Wales.

He died on 17th February 1945, on board Wellington Bomber NC706 from 29 Op Training. The aircraf took off from RAF Bruntigthorpe, Leicestershire on a night cross country exercise. The starboard engine failed and the aircraft crashed near Bruntingthorpe. He was 25.
