Freeda C. Enlow, 89, passed away Monday, August 30, 2010, at the Deaconess Hospital.
She was the daughter of Nora Blanche Coe and Claude Nelson. She was born on December 23,1920, in Aryshire, Indiana. Freeda married Kenneth Enlow of Taswell, Indiana, on June 28, 1941.

Freeda grew up during the Great Depression and left home at an early age to work in a restaurant where she eventually met her husband Kenneth (now deceased). She remained a homemaker for the rest of her life enjoying baking, canning, and reading among other things.
Freeda was a faithful follower of the Dawn Bible Society since the 1940's. She was a loving, gracious and giving person, more concerned for others than herself.

Surviving Freeda are her two children, Kenneth W. Enlow (wife Linda G.) of Washington State, and Linda R. Butler of Evansville; sisters, Ethyl Hamm (Floyd) of Newburgh, and Carol Pirkle (Larry) of Columbia, Miss.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen McRoberts; her only brother Eugene; and two grandchildren.

Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Curtis Funeral Home in Winslow, Ind. Bro. Tom Trzeciak will officiate. Interment is at Sunset Cemetery in Winslow. Visitation is 2 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2010, at the funeral home.

Go in peace mom. May the road rise up to meet you and the wind be always at your back. Your loving nature and gentleness will be sorely missed. Until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
