Lundquist rites will be Monday

Mrs. Theodore C. Lundquist, 83, a longtime resident of the Stanhope community, died early this morning at the East Lane Manor in Jewell were she had been residing the past seven months.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the South Marion Methodist Church near Stratford. The Rev. George Brighton will officiate with burial in the South Marion Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral Home until 9 a.m. Monday when it will be taken to the church.

Ethel Mae Sudderberg, daughter of Erick and Betty Larson Sudderberg, was born November 2, 1884 on a farm in Boone County. She was reared and educated in Boone County.

She was united in marriage Dec. 14, 1910, to Theodore Carl Lundquist, and the couple farmed for many years in the Stanhope community. In January, 1948, they retired from farming and moved to Boone, returning to Stanhope in August, 1966.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Halbert (Patricia) Crim and Mrs. William (Frances) East, both of Stanhope; eight grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters, Lewis Sudderberg, Boone, LeRoy Sudderberg, California, Mrs. Amy Berggren, Boone, Mrs. Paul Newberg, Albuqerque, N.M., and Mrs. John Horton, Wasco, California; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oct. 6, 1967; by one daughter, Blanche Dorothy, who died at the age of one; by her parents, one brother, Wallace Sudderberg, and one sister, Ina Sudderberg.

Mrs. Lundquist was a member of the South Marion Church and a longtime member of the Women's Society of Christian Service.
