"Mrs. Ruth C. Albert, 69, died this morning at a St Joseph hospital after an illness of three months. She resided at 1905 South 17th.

Mrs. Albert was born in St Joseph and lived here all of her life. Her parents were Charles Tibbits, who died in 1955, and, and Mrs. Sarah Welsh Tibbits, who died 13 days later. Her husband, George Edward Albert, Sr., died Nov. 18, 1967.

Mrs. Albert was a member of the National Association of Retired Civil Service Employees through her husband's association with the postal department.

Survivors include a son, George Edward Albert, Jr., of Overland Park, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Ulonda L. Farmer of St Joseph and Mrs. Delouris Z. Mathews of Raytown, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Eldora Willis of St Joseph; five grandchildren and several nephews.

Services will be tomorrow at 1 at the Meierhoffer-Fleeman chapel. Pastor Kenneth C. Haydon will officiate. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Public Cemetery." St Joseph News-Press, July 30, 1974
