Mrs. Davidson, 89, formerly of Lamourie, Louisiana, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007, in Columbia, SC.
She was born Beulah Belle Richmond on March 4, 1917, in Lamourie, Louisiana. Mrs. Davidson retired from Huey P. Long Hospital after 23 years of nursing. Shortly before retirement, she moved to Kincaid Lake where she bought a boat and became an avid fisherwoman. Later she moved back to Lamourie, but after surviving a tornado in 1995, she moved into a retirement community in Pineville. Here she turned her fishing rod in for a computer and marveled her friends and family as she sent and received emails and Googled for information on medicines and recipes. In 2001, she moved to Columbia, SC to live with her youngest son and daughter-in-law. There she expanded her collection of dolls and angels and enjoyed her rose garden and many trips to the mountains. Mrs. Davidson touched many lives along the way and is going to be missed by all.
Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Rachel Peters Richmond; her husband, Joseph D. Davidson; one son, Richard Davidson; one daughter Helen Davidson Humphries; three brothers and two sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are four sons, James Edward Davidson and wife Billie, Donald Ray Davidson and wife Carolyn, J. W. Davidson and wife Margaret and David Davidson and wife Ora Lee; two daughters, Thelma Davidson Tilson and husband Hugh and Shirley Marie Humphries Linn and husband Tony; one brother, James Richmond; two sisters, Clara Richmond Meador and Louise Richmond Wilson; twenty-nine grandchildren; fifty-eight great grandchildren and seventeen great, great grandchildren.
