Bill served in the United States Marines
as a Private first class during the Vietnam
war, he never saw action and was disabled
in the USA on base, and had a medical
discharge. He was an artist and some of his
paintings are on public display. His children
are Paul Platon, Ignazio Platon, and Tanya Platon.
He was baptised in the Greek Orthodox Church
at the wish of his father, Constantine. He was
not raised in the Greek Orthodox faith for he
lost his father at an early age, in 1955. Bill
was a Christian, believed, and hoped in the LORD.
