He moved his wife and children back to Cook County in 1952 where he farmed for several years before going to work for the DOT State of GA as a heavy equipment operator.
He worked as a builder for Jim Walter Homes, and he later built homes as a private builder. He was owner-operator of Adel Tire and Recapping. He was the creator and owner- operator Adel Pipe and Supply, and Cribb Marine MFG, Inc. which he sold to his daughters when he retired in 1986.
Survived by Doris, his wife of 51 years, and 2 daughters.
