Funeral services were held Monday, April 2 at 1 p.m. in the Methodist church for Mrs. Addie Benn, 89, who died at the home of her son, Wilbur Benn in Pembroke Township, Friday, March 30. She had resided with her son the past 10 years.
The reverend Paul C. Wilson of the Methodist Church conducted the services. Burial was held in the Clayton Cemetery in Cabery, Ill.
The deceased is survived by her son, Wilbur ; four daughters,Mrs. Dollie Smith of Saint Anne, Mrs Dora Rattin of Freemont, Michigan, Mrs. Ella Smith of Kankakee and Mrs. Hattie Green of Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Austin of White Cloud, Minn., Mrs. Adeline Petersen of Kankakee and Mrs. Nettie Smith of Saint Anne; and a brother Lemuel Castle of Kankakee.
Mrs. Benn lived most of her life in the vicinity of Kankakee, having been born Dec 14, 1861 in Cook County. She was married to Joseph Benn Dec. 8, 1882. She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Addie Readenz.
