Patricia A. McMillen, 71, of 313 Weeks St., formerly of 21 Dearing Ave., died at 10:10 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 8, 2001) in Heritage Park Health Care Center. A lifelong area resident, she was born March 17, 1930, in Jamestown, a daughter of Charles and Ellen Carlson Brooks. She was a 1948 graduate of Jamestown High School. In earlier years, she was employed by the former Art Metal Inc. She also was a legal secretary for the law office of James Subjack. In later years, she was employed in the craft department and was a greeter for the Lakewood Wal-Mart store. She was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church and was very active with the activities of the Ira Lou Spring Post 149 American Legion Auxiliary, where she was past president. She will be remembered as one who was always finding ways to help other people. She loved to do knitting, sewing and crafting, which led her to own and operate the Stitch N Time Yarn Shop on Main Street for several years. Following her employment, she and her husband spent time traveling to craft shows in New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania selling their homemade crafts. Surviving are her husband, Nelson G. McMillen, whom she married June 25, 1949; a son, Jon C. McMillen of Falconer; six grandchildren: Amber Pavlock of Falconer, Brian McMillen and Christopher McMillen, both of Buffalo, Vanessa Walker, Eric Randazzo and David Randazzo all of Stow, Ohio; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Fenton Brooks of Sacramento, Calif. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Greg McMillen, who died in1986.
