MARION, Kan. — Evelyn A. Williams, Marion, formerly of Alton, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Salem Nursing Home, Hillsboro.
She was born Oct. 1, 1928, in Luray, the daughter of the late Cecil and Alice (Travis) Marr. She was a CNA at Parkview Care Center, Osborne.
Survivors include daughters Tina Hancock of Marion, Glenda Turner of Cherokee, Gwen Perrin of Falco, Texas, Rhonda Deer of Sand Spring, Okla., Sherry Candle of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Vanorma Killingworth of Winnsboro, Texas; sons Johnny Williams of Osborne and Bryan Williams of Cherokee; a sister, Rita Shipley, Adrian, Mo.; 28 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen in 2008, a daughter Carol Lindley in 2003 and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at Clark Gashaw Chapel, Osborne, Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be at the Corinth Cemetery, Corinth. Memorials may be made to Salem Nursing Home.
