Gwendolyn Maurine Dorton Anderson "Together Forever" Gwendolyn Maurine Dorton Anderson, age 87, passed away on Feb. 27, 2007, in Salt Lake City. She was born on November 2, 1919, in Salt Lake City to William and Bessie Dorton. She married Douglas Henry Anderson on Oct. 14, 1939. She was sealed to Douglas in the Salt lake Temple on June 23, 1972. She was a member of Tops, Al-Anon and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she enjoyed her various callings with enthusiasm. Gwen's husband, children, and grandchildren, were her greatest joy in life. Gwen has touched the lives of many. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by daughters, Judy Anderson and Elizabeth (Eugene) McCauley; daughter-in-law, Holly Anderson; nine grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Anderson; sons, Jerry, Jimmy and Steve Anderson; and brother, William Dorton. Funeral Services will be held on, Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m., at Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary, 10055 S. State St., Sandy. A viewing will be held Fri., March 2, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment: Sandy City Cemetery.
