Born September 26, 1918 in Salt Lake City, to Henry Carl and Lenore Newbold Anderson. Married Gwendolyn Dorton October 13, 1939 in Salt Lake City; marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 23, 1972. Douglas worked as a lithographer for the Rocky Mountain Bank Note for 26 years. He loved fishing and hunting, and enjoyed crafts. Along with his gardening, his past times were singing and playing his guitar. He was a member of the AA for 30 years. He loved his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much.
Douglas is survived by his children, Judy Anderson, Mrs. Eugene (Elizabeth Jean) McCauley; Mr. Steven Wm. (Holly) Anderson; a sister, Darlene; two brothers, Waymouth, and J. "Jack", seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by sons, Jerry Douglas and James Robert Anderson; brother, Lamar.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, March 19, 1993, at the Lake Hills Memorial Park, 10055 South State, Sandy, where friends may call Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
