Maria Pagel, 78, of Gibbon died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1987, at the Cosmos Health Care Center.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church for one hour before services. Dalin Funeral Home in Winthrop is handling arrangements.
She is survived by sisters, Bertha Pagel of the Cosmos Health Care Center and Helena Rettig of Brownton; nieces, Annasonia (Mrs. Ervin) Rose of Winthrop, Marietta (Mrs. Ralph) Novotny of Hector, and Jeanetta (Mrs. Wayne) Augustine of Glencoe; and a nephew, Clinton Rettig of Brownton.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Fritz, Harry and William.
She was born on Jan. 1, 1909, in Bismarck Township, Sibley County, to Carl and Anna (Freyholtz) Pagel. She lived on the home farm in Bismarck Township until 1965 when she moved to Gibbon with her brother Harry and sister Bertha. In October 1986, after being hospitalized in Mankato, she became a resident of the Cosmos Health Care Center.
