Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Slidell Baptist Church. Burial: Rosston Cemetery in Rosston.
Opal Fortenberry was born Nov. 22, 1912, in Rule, Texas.
Survivors: daughters, Joye Johnston of Gainesville and Gina Morris of San Antonio; sisters, Beatrice Skinner of Decatur, Pearl Fortenberry of Gainesville, Mary Jo Linker of Quinlan and Jackie Goin of Aubrey; brother, James Cogburn of Whitesboro; grandsons, Charles Morris of San Antonio and Mark Morris of Bedford; granddaughters, J'Lynne Johnston of Sherman, Carol Johnston of Euless and Julie Greene of Whitesboro; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
