Otto Polster Sheboygan Press August 29, 1944

Otto Adam Polster, 76, lifelong resident of Sheboygan county, passed away Monday evening at his home here. Born in the town of Russell on Oct. 27, 1867, the son of Carl and Johanna Polster, the deceased spent almost his entire life there. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Evangelical church and on March 10, 1891, was united in marriage with Miss Lena Bunge. Following their marriage the couple resided on a farm in town Russell until 1924, when they moved to Elkhart Lake, where they spent the rest of their lives. Mr. Polster formerly served as supervisor of the town of Russell from 1906 until 1924, and he was a trustee of St. Paul's church for eight years.
Survivors include his widow; one son, Louis G., Stockbridge, Wis.; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Alma) Stauss, Greenbush; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One son, Orin, died in August 1929, and two brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at the Polster home, and at St. Paul's church in town Russell. The Rev. Karl Ernst, pastor of the church, will officiate.
