He was born, October 14, 1908, at Mount Calvary, a son of John and the late Mary Bertram Birschbach, and on Oct. 11, 1932, was married to Eleanor Weber in Mount Calvary.
He was employed at the Green Giant Cannery and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, James at home, and Ronald, St. Peter; three sisters, Mrs. Ray Blatz, and Mrs. Ray Ditter, both of Chilton, and Mrs. Elmer Freund, New Holstein.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m., at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home followed by an 11 a.m. Requiem Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg. The Rev. Robert Beier, pastor, will be celebrant of the Requiem Mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of services.
