Mrs. Lillie Mae Berger Baker, 71, City Auditor in Murray since 1947, died at her home in Murray after a long illness.
Mrs. Baker was the first Parent-Teacher Assn. president of the Bonnyview Elementary School in Murray. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had been president of Murray Second LDS Ward Young Women's Mutual Improvement Assn.
For 10 years Mrs. Baker was assistant secretary of the ward Relief Society and was a Sunday School, MIA and Primary teacher. She was also a drama director and a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
She was born June 25, 1890, in Murray, a daughter of Gottlieb and Emma Arnold Berger. On June 23, 1913, she was married to Thomas Kime Baker in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in March, 1942.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters; Allan(Bud), James L, and E. Bill Baker and Mrs. (Mary) Olsen, Mrs. (Irene) Matthews, all of Murray, Glen Ray, Granger; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Gottlieb R., G.A., (Goff) and C. Everett Berger, all of Murray.
