Dennis Dean Day, 50, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1996, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, after a short illness. Memorial services: 2 p.m. today, United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Kenneth Kent. Inurnment: Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington, at a later date. Arrangements are with Brosh's, Norway.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne; two sons, Brad of Norway and Timothy of Ames; his parents, Robert and Cornelia Day of Washington; and a brother, Edward of Arkansas.

Dennis graduated from the University of Dubuque and he was a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking, Madison, Wis. He was a former mayor of Norway, executive vice president of the Benton County Savings Bank, Norway; manager of Day Insurance and Services; and a former commander of the Norway Legion Post 234.

The family will greet friends and relatives at United Methodist Church, Norway, from 7 to 8:30 tonight. A memorial fund has been established.
