Glen V. Shreve, age 52 years, of Rte 2, Iberia, Mo., passed away Tuesday, March 2, 1976 at Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo. where he had been a patient since February 22, 1976. Mr. Shreve was born October 1, 1923 in Petersburg, West Virginia, the son of Victor and Luella (Thorne) Shreve. He was united in marriage on January 12, 1946 in Iberia, Mo. by Rev. A.O. Shearrer to Georgia Dean Jarrett, who survives of the home.

Mr. Shreve lived in Petersburg, West Virginia until 1946 where he was a member of the United Bretheren Church. Since 1946 he had made his home in Iberia where he farmed and was Contracting Officer at Fort Leonard Wood.

Mr. Shreve served in the Army in World War II. He was a member of the Iberia American Legion, a Volunteer Fireman, a former member of the Iberia R-V School Board for several years and attended the Iberia Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Shreve, as a small child.

Surviving other than his wife, Georgia, are two sons, Glenvel Shreve of Iberia, Mo. and Ronnie Shreve of Windsor, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. Karen Jenkins of Holts Summit, Mo., Mrs. Linda Akins of Warrensburg, Mo. and Mary Ann and Betty Shreve both of the home; his parents, Victor and Luella Shreve of Petersburg, W. Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Sherman of Arthur W. Va. and Mrs. Norma Vance of Riverview, Fla. and 6 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 5 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Iberia with Rev. A. O. Shearrer and Rev. Gary Gulley officiating. Interment was in the Jarrett Cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia, Mo. Pallbearers were John Marso, Tom Tolar, Ellis Jarrett, Bill Deardeuff, Perry Grady and Kenneth Hendricks.
