Stone Funeral Here on Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. H.T. (Dick) Stone, 60, of the Dale and Udall communities, will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the First Christian church here. Interment will be in Akron cemetery with the Gordon Mortuary of Wichita officiating.

Mrs. Stone, the former Mary Jane Brown, was born in Plainfield, Ill., April 1, 1895 and came to the Dale community north of Winfield in 1904. She was a member of the Udall Congregational church.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Stone were victims of the Udall tornado. Mrs. Stone died about five minutes after reaching the storm cave after their home had been demolished. Mr. Stone is in a serious condition in Newton Memorial hospital.

Surviving are a son, Robert T. Stone of Yukon, Okla., and a daughter, Mrs. R.P. Roley of Winfield; a brother, R.J. Brown of Joliet, Ill., and Mrs. Viola Schmidt of Santa Barbara, Calif.; five grandchildren.
