Lloyd E. Steele, 65, of Wolbach, died Tuesday, January 4 at Grand Island....
Lloyd E. Steele was born April 16, 1911 at Yuma, Colorado, the son of Benjamin and Zula Francisco Steele. The family left Colorado in 1917 and moved to Kansas in 1921 and later to the Star area near Wolbach where he received his education and grew up.
He married Thelma Klein on April 16, 1935 at Grand Island. The couple farmed in the Wolbach area until 1968 when they moved into town.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Linda) Peer of Grand Island and Mrs. Dale (Sandra) Steinke of Central City; two sons, Wayne of Schuyler and James of Reno, Nevada; two brothers, Alson of Loveland, Colorado and Bruce of Arkansas; and seven grandchildren.
