Mattie Pearl Powell, 82, of Bellmead, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at home surrounded by family. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Wortham Bend Cemetery with the Rev. Lester Adams officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at Bellmead Funeral Home.
Mattie was born in Bosqueville, Texas, to the late Brand and Nan (McAdams) Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Powell; and granddaughters, Darla and Barbara Trail.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Parker and husband, Jesse, of Bellmead; grandchildren, Vivian Trail and significant other, Lee Bahnsen, of Elm Mott; Jimmie Trail and wife, Stacie, of Watertown, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Shannon York and Jon, Mandy Scoggins and Dusty, Jay Richardson and Lauren, Nicki Dingman and Nick, Tiffany Muniz, Dylan Lucko, and William Carujo; great-great-grandchildren, Madison, Taylor, and Stephen York, Calee and Wyatt Scoggins, Allie Richardson, and Madalynn and Mackenzie Dingman; and her special companion, her dog, "Prissy."
