  Mrs. Hannah Christina Larson Nelson, 89, an immigrant from Sweden and a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died of natural causes Tuesday in a Salt Lake nursing home.
  Born June 28, 1873, Jonkoping, Sweden, a daughter of Lars P. and Maria C. Peterson Swenson, she joined the Church as a young girl, and after saving enough money emigrated to New York City.
  There, she worked and saved enough money to bring two of her sisters to America.
  After arriving in Utah, she worked ardently for the Church, serving in the Relief Society for many years, and has done temple work for more than 700 of her kinsmen.
  Married to Robert C. Nelson, Sept. 9, 1896, in the Salt Lake Temple, he preceded her in death.
  Survivors include sons and daughters, Col. Clarence F. Nelson, Washington, D. C.; Ernest A. Nelson, former president of the Hawaiian Mission; George W. Nelson, Pocatello; Mrs. H. G. (Irene) Tempest, Mrs. Earl (Gladys) Bertelson, all Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 12:15 p.m. at 2128 So. State, where friends may call Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m., and Friday prior to services. Burial in the Murray City Cemetery.
