In his early teens the family moved to Canton, Van Zandt Co., TX where Guy met Jessie Parlee Irwin. They were married in Canton, Van Zandt Co., TX 26 Dec 1915. To this union was born: Reginald Earl (1917), Celia Novaline (1919), Willie Lou (1921), an infant, and Guy Gilmore, Jr (1929). Guy registered for the World War I Draft in Van Zandt County. He moved with most of the remaining W. S. Blair family to Hale County, TX in the 1920's. The Guy Blair's settled in Plainview, Hale Co., TX where Guy worked for Hale County. Later the family relocated to Borger, Hutchinson Co., TX where Guy worked for Phillips Petrolelum. Upon retirement the family moved to Oceanside, San Diego, CA. Guy thoroughly enjoyed working as a crossing guard in Oceanside.
