ROBERT B. COLE
Robert Benson Cole, 64 years old, died Thursday afternoon at his home in Ruffsdale following an illness of four years. He had been a resident of Ruffsdale for the past 35 years. Mr. Cole had been employed as an electrician at the Youghiogheny and Ohio plant at Wyano until it closed. He then worked a year at Walworth before becoming ill. He was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church, Tarrs. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lydia Belle Miller Cole. Eight of the 17 children born to the couple also survive: Mrs. Angeline Hart, of Ruffsdale; Miss Gweneth Cole, at home; Mrs. Sarah Krantz, of Jeannette; Pvt. John Cole, of Fort Belvoir, Va.; Mrs. Thelma Gaffney, of New Stanton RD; James Cole, of New Stanton; William Cole, of Larimer and Miss Agnes Cole at home. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, James Cole, of Hunkers and two sister, Mrs. Rebecca Thomas, of Riverview, Vandergrift, and Mrs. Agnes Smith, of Harrison City. Friends will be received at his home where funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. M.B. Clendening and Rev. William S. Hamilton. Interment will be in Irwin Union cemetery.
