WARD, James Perry, 18, passed away at a local hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He had suffered from Asthma since early childhood but never let the disease stop him from attending school or working.
Funeral services were held at Trinity Baptist Church. Burial was at Memorial Cemetary.
He is survived by his parents, I.V. and Mabel Ward; his brothers, Robert, Claude, William, Wiley, Thomas, and Marion Ward; his sisters, Nellie, Mildred and Mary Edna Ward, all of the home; maternal grandmother, Lizzie Moore; many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
Note: According to one of James' sisters, he enjoyed his life. He loved to shine his shoes and wear clean white shirts. He was also the family comedian and loved to tell funny stories and jokes. He was loved by everyone and is missed!
