WALTER G. ARMSTRONG DIES
Walter G Armstrong, 67, 16 E. Porter avenue, Ocean Springs, native of Woolmarket Community and resident of Ocean Springs for many years, died at 9:30 pm Sunday at Biloxi Hospital. He had been employed at Keesler Field until his recent illness. He had been prominent in various activities at Ocean Springs, where he once was an alderman. He also had been employed by the road department of Ocean Springs. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a charter Eastern Star member of Ocean Springs, and the Methodist Church of which he was a steward.
He is survived by his wife, and a daughter, Mrs. Geo. W. Collins, Ocean Springs; three sisters, Mrs. Julius Seymour, Biloxi, Rt. 1; Mrs. Mary Ryan, Biloxi; Mrs. George Bennett, Biloxi.
The funeral will be at 3 pm Tuesday from the home. Services will be at the Ocean Springs Methodist Church by Rev. W.S. Elkins assisted by Rev. Ryan, Baptist pastor. Masonic rites will be conducted at the grave in Evergreen Cemetery.
