W.L. Hicks, age 60, died Saturday, June 7, in a Jackson hospital after an illness of several days.
Mr. Hicks resided in Mendenhall and was a member of a prominebt family and had a wide connection of relatives and friends throughout this section of the state.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. C.C. Jones, pastor of the Mendenhall Baptist Church, at Sharon Church Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with interment following in the Sharon cemetery with the Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in charge.
Immediate relatives surviving include two sons, Spurgeon and Clyde Hicks, both of Mendenhall; and several nieces and nephews.
