Paul served in the Marine Corps during WWII, June 1944 to June 1945. He fought in the battle of Saipan.
He was a tool designer at Swann Engineering in Davenport, Iowa and also worked for Monarch Engineering Co and Caterpillar Tractor Co. of Peoria, Illinois
He has 5 grandchildren
He enjoyed golf, woodworking, fishing, and designing his own home from the ground up.
