Mr. Forrest Cheek, age 81, of Peoria, Illinois, formerly of Paulding County, Georgia, passed away May 29, 2006 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

Mr. Cheek was born March 29, 1925 in Atlanta, Georgia, son of the late Monroe E. and Bertha (Morris) Cheek. He was a member of County Line United Methodist Church in Acworth and worked as a Supervisor at Atlantic Steel Company.

Survivors include his son, David and Annette Cheek of Peoria, Illinois; three grandchildren, Erin and Chris Robbins of Birmingham, AL, Timothy and Christi Cheek of Birmingham, AL and Daniel Cheek of Peoria, Illinois; three great-grandchildren, Anna Robbins, David Cheek and Cahlin Cheek and her bother, James and Sarah Carson of Kingstree, South Carolina.

In addition to his parents, Monroe and Bertha Cheek, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Frances Carson Cheek; one brother, Edward Cheek and one sister, Frances Reynolds.

Funeral Services were held on June 2, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. John Moore and Dr. Michael Cavin officiating.

Interment followed in County Line United Methodist Church Cemetery in Acworth. Grandsons, Timothy Cheek, Daniel Cheek and Chris Robbins, served as pallbearers.
