Began singing career in church choir - later on he was in a high school band with Michael McDonald. Wrote songs for such artists as Climax Blues Band, Robbie Dupree (who did Steal Away, Hot Rod Hearts), Exile, Johnny Taylor, Sawyer Brown, Reba McIntire; was also on the 1981 Allman Brothers Release "Brothers Of The Road". In 1982 his first solo album entitled "Over The Line" was released which produced two singles "Goin Down" (Billboard #17) and "Into My Love" (#92). He continued his songwriting efforts and in 2000 his album "Soul`d Out" and "Private Session" were released along with the re-release of his debut album.
On July 28, 2003 his charred body was found in a car inside his garage.
