Jim P. Thornhill Jr. WEST SPRINGFIELD – Jim P. Thornhill Jr. "JP", 68, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2nd. Born to the late Jim and Myrtis Thornhill Sr. Jim was an engineer for Honeywell and more recently retired from CNC Engineering in Enfield, CT. JP served in 2 tours in Vietnam and 1 tour in Desert Storm for the US Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and loved boating and singing karaoke. JP was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed cruising and Cape Cod. He leaves his wife and best friend Suellen, his children Jennifer Hall and her husband Bruce of Agawam, Kathy Gauthier and her husband Mark of S. Hadley, David and his wife Tameka of Agawam, and Asa and his wife Claudia of Enfield, CT., and also his lap cat Tabitha; late wife Susan Andringa, and step children Kristen Guillian of Ludlow and Nick Andringa of Agawam, 7 grandchildren, a brother Larry Thornhill and sister Florece Sayer of Kerman, CA., along with several nieces and nephews. JP was predeceased by his sisters Dorothy and Edith. A memorial service will be held FRI. 10 AM in the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST. Burial will follow with full military honors in the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. Calling hours will be held THURS. from 5 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , 59 Bobala Rd., Holyoke, MA 01040 the Baystate Hospice, P.O. Box 9058, Spfld, MA 01102-9058, or the Noble VNA, 77 Mill St, Westfield, MA 01085.
