"Mrs. Margaret May, wife of Joseph C. May, died at her home on the Georgetown road, Monday evening, at the age of 67 years. Mrs. May had been sick for several months {cancer} and suffered much pain. She bore her affliction bravely and calmly awaited the time when death should come to her relief. Mrs. May was a kind mother and was held in the highest esteem by all her neighbors and friends. Besides her husband she leaves the following daughters: Miss Ann May, Mrs. J. H. Youtz, Mrs. Samuel Fink, Mrs. I. S. Bowers, Mrs. W. S. Garner and Miss Ida May. Funeral services were held at Valley Chapel on Thursday morning, where Mrs. May worshipped for a number of years. Rev. Rader, of the First Evangelical church, of Canton, conducted the services. The remains were buried in the Valley cemetery."
