Martha Cox

Martha Cox, 84, of Goshen, died early Saturday evening, April 15, 2006, at Our Lady of Peace Hospital at St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend. She had been ill for 15 years.

She was born February 25, 1922 in Hazard, Kentucky, to Jasper and Elizabeth (Bush) Arrowood. On September 25, 1971, she married David W. Cox. He died November 11, 1971. She then married Robert Charles, who preceded her in death in 1999.

Mrs. Cox, an area resident since 1969, made quilts and embroidered. She also enjoyed going to yard sales and fishing.

She is survived by five daughters, Martha (Bob) Heusch and Helen (Bob) Tillotson, both of Fort Wayne, Donna (Peter) Ramey and Lois (Jack Warble) Baker, both of Goshen, and Joan Nunn of Elkhart; a son, Frank (JoAnne) Kotrba of Goshen; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Merica Caudill of Manchester, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, and six sisters and three brothers.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

A 10:00 a.m. funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
