Castroville, July 27th - After an illness of over two months, J.M. Pomber, a Constable who was shot by Clarke, one of the desparados who attempted to kill the Englishmen names Draper, near Soledad, died last night.
(Jose was a Sheriff and was shot while trying to apprehend Clarke and a companion)
