Phyllis L. Cole

Phyllis L. Cole, 64, of Goshen died Monday morning, June 2, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital.

She was born in Goshen, on January 12, 1944 to Orville and Ruby (Sharp) Evans. She married Norman Stewart in Goshen. He died October 13, 1969. She then married Joseph Cole on August 31, 1987, in Goshen. He died November 27, 2004.

A homemaker, Mrs. Cole was a lifelong resident of the area. She attended Gospel Lighthouse.

She is survived by two daughters, Star (Donnie) Hodges and Ruby Irene (David) Yoder, both of Goshen; a son, Joe Stewart of Goshen; five grandchildren; two sisters, Myrtle (Ronald) Hershberger of Goshen and Judy Moser of Flint, Michigan; and five brothers, Russell, Harold, Clarence (Cynthia) and Ernie (Yvonne) Evans, all of Goshen, and Orville Evans, Jr. of Davidson, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by both her husbands; two grandchildren, Davey and Nikki Yoder; two sisters, Mary Thayer and Carolyn Friend; and a brother, Robert Evans.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 5, at the funeral home.

A 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 6, 2008, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Eli Smucker of Goshen Lighthouse will officiate.

Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
