ANSLEY - Homer Otis Armour, 83, died Friday in a Broken Bow hospital. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon in the Parks Funeral Chapel at Ansley by the Rev. Donald Brooks assisted by the Rev. Wayne Hall. Burial was in Ansley Cemetery. The Parks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Armour was born May 4, 1878, near Medora, Ill. He and Edith Magner were married at Medora. Three children were born to them. The family moved to Custer County in 1906 and later went to Parsons, Kan., where he worked in the carpenter shop of the railroad. His wife died in 1921 and Mr. Armour and the children returned to Custer County where he farmed.
He and May Winston were married in 1923 at Broken Bow, and two children were born to them. They resided at numerous location before moving to Ansley in 1951.
Surviving are three daughters, Verena Around, Parsons, Kan., Mrs. Beulah Grabau, Jerome, Idaho, and Mrs. Elizabeth McMillen, Chanute, Kan.; and a brother, Joe Armour, Phoenix, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles and John, and two children, Winifred and Lafaye, who died in the service during World War II.
