Wilt, Frank –
Frank Wilt, son of James and Catherine Ann Wilt, was born April 17, 1870, in a long cabin on the Wilt homestead five miles east of Lenox. He passed away at his home in Lenox February 11 [1949] at the age of 78 years, nine months and 24 days, after an illness of two years, the last year being confined to his bed.

When a young man he joined the Methodist church at Calvary, later transferring his membership to the Lenox Methodist church.

On December 29, 1898, he was united in marriage to Eva Hastings of Creston, who passed away in 1923. On April 1, 1925, he was again married to Mrs. Zetta Clark, who survives him

Frank was the fifth of six brothers. S. P. Wilt is the only one who survives. The brothers, Cassius, Eli, Harry, and Dora Wilt, preceded him in death. Harry preceded him by only 23 days.

He is survived by his wife, several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was a patient sufferer, always cheerful and grateful for all that was done for him. He always enjoyed his many friends in their frequent visits. He will be greatly missed in the home and by his friends and neighbors.

The funeral was held at the Methodist church in Lenox at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14. The service was in charge of Rev. Clarence Richardson and music was furnished by Mrs. Eugene Paymal and Mrs. Rollie Bender accompanied by Mrs. Grace Peacock.
