NEWTON, Joy, 65, Olney, died Sunday night in Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney; leaves daughter, Mrs. Delmer Stagner, Oklahoma City; brothers, Luther of Wynoose, John of Champaign, Charles of Gallagher; half-sister, Mrs. Mary Brown of Noble. Services 3 p.m. Wednesday in Forrest Ridge Church; burial in church cemetery; call at Summers-Wilson Funeral Home, Olney.

"Joy Newton was my grandfather. He was married to Gladys M Carson 1898-1981, and their daughter was Frances Doreen Newton — my mom. The couple divorced when my mom was a baby. Gladys later remarried Harold Cullers. My mother was married to Delmer L Stagner 1920-1994. Frances died last year 1924-2016."
