Born September 24, 1926, in Highland Township, Clarion County, he was a son of Orpha Whisner Dolby and the late Orlie Dolby.
He was married to the former Louise Lewis on December 2, 1949, She died in 1971.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army. Mr. Dolby was employed as a heavy equipment operator. He was a Protestant.
Surviving are three sons, Gary L. Dolby of Springdale, Eugene A. Dolby of Limestone and Douglas K. Dolby of Clarion; one daughter, Miss Cathy Dolby of Brookville; one sister, Edna (Mrs. Fred) McCleary of Miola; and six grandchildren.
Preceding him in death in addition to his wife and father were one brother, Francis Dolby, and one sister, Maxine Slicker.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 31, in the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. The Rev. Madison Stringfellow officiated.
Interment was in Miola Cemetery.
