Mewhiney, Mrs. Susannah (Susie) - On Saturday, January 14, 1978, at K-W Hospital Susannah Kraemer, beloved wife of the late Herbert Mewhiney, of Elmira, aged 78 years. Her first husband, William G. Martin, predeceased her in 1945 and her second husband, Herbert Mewhiney in 1960. Dear mother of Mrs. Douglas (Esther) Waugh and Mrs. Rose (Annabelle) Waugh, both of Kitchener, Mrs. George (Lena) Belback and Mrs. Anthony (Bertha) Plein, both of Elmira, J. David Martin of Conestogo. One son and one sister predeceased her. Sister of Mrs. Menno Knarr, Daniel Kraemer and Israel Kraemer, all of Route 1, St. Jacobs. Seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. Friends called at the Dreisinger funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, after Sunday noon, until Tuesday noon when removal was made to Gale Presbyterian Church for funeral service at 3 pm. Interment in the Elmira Mennonite Cemetery.
