Rev. Richard J. Bohm, formerly a funeral director, was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo, New York, at the American Seminary in Louvain Belgium in 1965. He was a teacher and guidance counselor, principal at Baker-Victory High School in Lackawanna, New York and assistant principal at Bishop Turner High School in Buffalo.
In parish ministry, he served on the Buffalo Missionary Apostolate at Sacred Heart Church in Angelica, and as assistant pastor of Infant of Prague Church in Cheektowaga and administrator of St. Bartholomew Church in Buffalo.
At the time of his death, at the age of 51, he was the director of Priest Personnel of the diocese. He had been appointed to that post in October of 1982.
