Carl Albert Domier was born March 7, 1891 in Portland, North Dakota, the child of Carl Johann "John" Domier and Britta Anderson Domier. He was raised on the family homestead southwest of Portland. He married Lizzie Robin and they lived in Roseville Township for several years before moving to McIntosh, Minnesota.
Carl and Lizzie had six children, Lloyd, Bessie Svein, Mildred who died at two months of age, Marvel, Kermit and Carl.
Carl died July 25, 1977 in Fosston, Minnesota and was buried in the McIntosh Cemetery in Polk County, Minnesota.
