BENNINGTON -- Funeral service for Ralph L. Harrington were held at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home on Friday morning with Reverend Michael Twardy, pastor of The Bible Baptist Church, officiating.

Several special musical selections were played throughout the service, they included: "Amazing Grace," "The Old Rugged Cross," "Beyond the Sunset," "How Great Thou Art," "Go Rest High on That Mountain" by Vince Gill, "Daddy's Girl" by Red Sovine and "Grandpa Told me So" by Kenny Chesney.

Personal reflections and memories were shared by many family and friends in attendance including children Dean Harrington and Melanie Brunina, sister-in-law Millie Harrington, son-in-law Steven Tifft, niece Laurie Griffith and several written pieces from the grandchildren were read by the Rev. Twardy.

Burial took place in the Harrington family lot in the Shaftsbury Village Cemetery with the Rev. Twardy offering the committal prayers. Serving as bearers were nephews Dale Harrington, Chris Harrington and Malcolm "Bud" Ware, friends Shawn Morey, Ray Gates and Kevin Hunt.

A reception was held at the home of Melanie Brunina following the burial service.

Mr. Harrington, 81, a resident of Bennington, died July 26, at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation following a lengthy illness.

Arrangements were under the care of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, Bennington. .
