June 12, 1812 at Binghamton, NY and d. there on Nov. 10, 1901. He was subsequently an officer in the U.S. Army during the Civil War and retired as a breveted Brig. Gen. They had the following four children, the first three b. at Delhi, NY and the last at Binghamton, NY:
• i. Sarah Elizabeth Robinson, b. Apr. 30, 1836, d. Aug. 5, 1886 at New York City, NY.
• ii. Augusta Root Robinson, b. May 2, 1839, d. May 25, 1862; m. Dec. 30, 1857 at Osage, NY, Mason W. Mather.
• iii. Lieut. Col. Erastus Root Robinson, b. June 19, 1843, d. Jan. 16, 1917 at Washington, DC (U.S. Marine Corps., bur. Arlington Nat'l Cem.); m. an unidentified Emma C., who survived him, but is interred elsewhere. He had at least three children, but only one was living in June 1900. Research incomplete.
• iv. Florence Ada Robinson, b. May 15, 1847; m. June 20, 1868 at Binghamton, NY, Eliphalet Nott Gilbesby (sic Gillespie). She may have had a second husband and living at New York City in June 1900 along with her son Hugh Gillespie.
