Hello there, I made a trip to Rowan County, North Carolina in 1999 and did alot of research for two days on Stephens/Stevens. I found the family name for David (not Davis) is recorded as Stephens at birth. I found there were 4 generations who lived in Rowan County, NC of this family line. Some of David's children were born there, David lived part of his life, father Alexander lived all of his life, Alexanders father Richard lived his life there. David married Celia Northan in North Carolina. Celia is born September 19, 1816 in NC. They had 11 children. Alexander and Mary Daily/Dailey had 11 children. Richard and Martha Ann Roberts had 10 children.
