Funeral services for Jack and Joy will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Sweet Springs, with Rev. James West officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Sweet Springs. Jack was born May 31, 1935 in Kansas City, to the late William L. Jackson and Stella Marie Packham Jackson and Joy was born December 24, 1940 in Lee's Summit to the late John Thomas Butner and Margaret Tomblinson Butner Holloway. On April 19, 1957, Jack Jackson and Joy Butner were married. On August 27, 2010 they were united in death.
Their survivors include three children, Jack Jackson and his wife, Gloria, of Mansfield, Tina Dye and her husband, Tony, of Garfield, Ark., Wm. Lloyd Jackson and his wife, Sharon, of Eureka; along with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
