Excerpt -- Mrs. Sarah J. Barlow died at her home in the German Settlement about 4 miles from Kingwood on Tuesday morning of this week after an illness which lasted many months. Mrs. Barlow was in her seventieth year. She was the widow of Fred T. Barlow, and her maiden name was Sarah J. Trickett. She is survived by four children: Mrs. B. T. Carroll and Mrs. Nora Fletcher of Kingwood, Miss Anna and Sylvester at home. The funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. at the Catholic Church of which she was a member. Interment in the cemetery adjacent to the church (note: this would be St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Howesville.)
